Abundance (2011) by Tamara Diaz (30×40) Acrylic Paint on Canvas. For the first time in a while, I felt so abundant, with love from friends/family and with helping others. For the first time, I felt financially stable and that allowed me to help others even more. But simultaneously, I separated from a partner and had to make an abuse report for a seven year old client. Hearing/feeling the pain, alcoholism and suffering all around me caused me to examine the abundance of those things too.
Plate Spinner (2002) by Tamara Diaz (24×18) Once, I was told that I was like the “Plate Spinner” which I’ve learned was a popular act on the Ed Sullivan Show. The statement was made implying that I had a lot of big things going on all at once, and it was hard work to keep it all going.

Te Amo (2014) by Tamara Diaz (30×40) Acrylic Paint on Canvas. This is a tragic piece about love, what else? Its a story of a person who loves another so deeply and has not been able to share those words with their lover. The person feels so overcome with grief thinking, “What if i die and I never tell my lover how I feel?” She lays on the floor paralysed and feeling like she will self destruct if she doesn’t confess.

Fuerza (2012) by Tamara Diaz (30×40) Acrylic Paint on Canvas. The design was painted on October 15, 2011 the day of the Occupy Providence Rally and Day #7 of my cleanse. I was feeling strong and empowered. The outline of smaller symbols is indicative of all the exhibits that i was doing at the time, and how much art was involved. On my shirt is the Virgencita who is always with me.
