Category Archives: Mixed Media Projects
This is part of a collection of Mixed Media pieces which are part of the Recycled Art Project. The pieces are created on packaging from regularly used items (Tooth paste boxes, etc) which would otherwise be thrown out/recycled. While working on other paintings, i use the left over paint on the brush, which would normally be wasted (washed off). These backgrounds can take years to completed and this project is still in various stages. The process is messy and experimental and allows me to let loose as an artist. When the background are completed, narrative is applied to communicate feelings of love, passion, wishes or heartbreak.
